Its starting to seem increasingly likely that this will be out this year. Is anyone thinking of getting it?
Starcraft II review on Ars Technica
May I point out:
I understand that they are trying to curb piracy, however, I think this is a terrible move. Its especially odd since Starcraft pioneered the system of spawning copies, or allowing people to play the game on the lan with three people sharing one disc. Also I tend to get better ping to people in my own house than on the internet. Maybe its just me.
On an unrelated point the game will be sold as a separate game for each race. You can play any race in multi-player, owning only one of the games, but each race will most likely introduce new units and advances which would make you want to own all three.

Rob Pardo, senior VP of game design at Blizzard Entertainment confirmed in an interview with IncGamers that the StarCraft II development team "don't have any plans to support LAN," and clarified saying "we will not support it." The only multiplayer available will be on Battle.net.
