I just updated my Garmin Nuvi 7 series to the latest maps for 2010. Anyone with a Garmin nuvi that doesn't want to pay for the update can get the file and instructions from me. It is so easy it's almost scary.

Connect your Garmin to your PC via USB. Browse the device. Backup the Garmin directory to your hard drive. Replace the gmapprom.img with the 2010 one. The map file is like 1.7. GB so I'm not sure how to get it to you easily. That's it!
