North Korea and Hawaii

I heard this morning that Hawaii is gearing up for a possible attack from North Korea. I think at the moment it precautionary, but N. Korea seems to be getting peeved about everyone telling them what to do with their missile testing. Do you think they would attack Hawaii?

I can't decide whether I like or dislike that.

I don't know if they are crazy enough to do so or not, but I think I can safely say that if they attacked Hawaii it would be the last attack they would ever be able to initiate. The US would strategically bomb them with in 24 hours as a response and the China wouldn't be able to say shit about it.

There will not be an attack on Hawaii - there is nothing to gain. If NK were willing to do something that would result in their destruction, they would expect them to at least do something that could cause damage, such as shell the heck out of Seoul.

In my opinion, there will be no large, conventional war with North Korea. They will not attack Seoul, due to the impending destruction of NK, nor would the Allies attack NK - due to the massive initial attack that would be necessary in order to not let Seoul be destroyed. Remember, Seoul is very, very close to the DMZ. It can be reached by artillery, and destroying all batteries in one fell swoop would be impossible. Read this slightly old article for more info!
