    If you're friends with Randall on facebook then maybe you already saw this...he posted it yesterday and I must say....I'm thoroughly freaked out. The music they play during the video doesn't help lol.

    I read about this awhile ago, but it is much more compelling with a video. I guess the question is will this be used for good or for evil. I can see this being abused pretty easily. It could also be used to allow life after the breakdown of the body, at least until we develop clinical immortality.

    That is really interesting. I guess it isn't so surprising. Current technically can detect the tiny electrical impulses from our brains now. Amazing stuff.

    I'm glad you mentioned this. I'm freaked out for that very reason - with every advance, I worry about how it will be used. Yes, I know that's a very negative way to view the world...but it's just a fact of life that we have to be prepared for (at least I think so) It's nice to hear I'm not the only one that's pondered the thought.

    I'm assuming they'll somehow use this in nanotechnology....?
