I personally don't think it's worth it yet. Maybe in a year or two I would like to have one to at least boot the OS off of.

The article definitely suggests that it is not worth it yet. A new 500 GB HDD is like $150 and a new 120 GB SSD is like $350 and performance wise the SSD is only slightly better than the HDD.
